The RS232 data is transferred in the following format:

Line Feed

Carriage return

“Peak” will be transmitted

if in a peak mode

Units of measure

Force value (5 digits and decimal point)

or “HELP” if the gage is overloaded

Space for a compression force

minus sign for a tension force

J.2 Mitutoyo Output

The Mitutoyo data format is a modified BCD (binary coded decimal)

format that is used in communication with Mitutoyo statistical process

control printers.

To transmit the value shown on the FDV display to a Mitutoyo printer,

the user may either:

A. Press the PEAK and ZERO buttons simultaneously,

B. Press the DATA button on the Mitutoyo processor.

If the gage is overloaded there will be no response.
